Boston Community Engagement and Recruitment Associate
I joined FII in 2013. As a family partner and with the help of the unrestricted funds on UpTogether, my family group created KidzChain—a space we created for children through which we have provided babysitting services for FII events as well as set up playdates for FII families. I also started a Book Club—now three years running—and purchased a reliable vehicle.
In 2016, I became one of FII’s Movement Building Fellows and then a Fellowship Coordinator in 2017 and 2018. Now, I am a member of the Boston Advisory Council. From high school to adulthood, I have always fought the good fight. I worked for Boston Women’s Fund as a Young Sister for Justice learning to write and read grants and voted on which successful community programs got money. I was part of the LGBT movement participating in Youth & Government; and even helped get a bill passed. I sat on panels for The Boston Foundation and Greenlight Fund.
