I am a Latino, single-mother with a 16-year-old daughter. Since joining FII in 2016, it has been so magnificent and great for my family. It has changed me. I am more responsible supports me while I accomplish my goals.

I like the monthly data journal process. I appreciate the goal section —it helps my self-esteem and to know what I have accomplished. I am able to set and reach my goals. You can see it visually through the charts. You can be honest with yourself when entering about my current debt.

My primary goal is to create a better relationship with my daughter — who is currently going through her teenage years. My daughter attends most of my group meetings. When she is there, it means I am able to spend more time with her. Also, she is able to hear what my plans and goals are for us. She also feels very comfortable talking about certain things or getting advice with my group members, that she probably doesn’t feel comfortable sharing with me. Last October, I took her to Disneyland and we had a fantastic time.

My primary goal is to create a better relationship with my daughter and participating in FII is helping me do that.
